Privacy Policy

Woodlands Centre Charitable Trust Inc respect and value your right to privacy. During the course of consultation and provision of services, it will be necessary for us to gather information about you and keep such information on record.

Woodlands Centre Charitable Trust Inc will not disclose any information about you to anyone, except as necessary in the following circumstances:

  • Where you give us written authority to disclose information to named individuals or organisations; or
  • Where we are required by law to disclose information, and only that information which is absolutely necessary; or
  • Where the safety of another person or yourself is at risk, we will disclose relevant information so as to prevent serious harm coming to that other person or yourself.

Under the Privacy Act 1993, you are entitled to request access to your personal information held by us. If anything is incorrect (in your opinion) you are also entitled to request correction of that information. If you wish to access that information, you will need to write to us with your request. We will endeavour to respond within a reasonable period of time. As the Woodlands Trust is funded by the Ministry of Health, it has a contractual relationship to provide some client information to the Ministry of Health whilst adhering to the appropriate provisions of the Privacy Act 1993.
